Burgundy Monochrome – Fine Multicoloured Wool Companion Yarn

A little colour can transform your favourite yarn. This unusually fine wool thread combines black, white and burgundy, adding lively, shifting flecks to a solid-coloured base.

Hold one strand together with your main yarn to create a fabric that feels entirely your own. The knitted sample shows three ideas: paired with Plum Burgundy Filpucci PRESTIGE merino, with white yarn, and with Sheen Green Lana Gatto Harmony (colour 19071). My personal favourite is the Sheen Green combination, while the white version makes the colours stand out beautifully. You can choose any base colour you like and discover a new effect.

This is a very fine companion yarn, intended to be knitted together with another yarn rather than used as the main yarn on its own. Please make a swatch to see how the colours and thickness work with your chosen base.

Sample details: The samples were knitted on a Silver Reed standard-gauge (5 mm) knitting machine at tension setting 0, holding the multicoloured yarn together with the main yarn.
