    Filpucci PRESTIGE – 100% Merino Wool in Plum Burgundy

    This exceptionally soft merino yarn by Gruppo Filpucci Industrie Filati comes in a rich Plum Burgundy shade: deep burgundy with a subtle plum undertone. Its fine Nm 2/60 count gives you the freedom to combine strands and create different fabric weights and effects.

    I knitted the sample using two strands of Plum Burgundy on a Silver Reed standard-gauge knitting machine at tension setting 0. Machine settings vary, so I recommend knitting a swatch for your own project.

    For the patterned sample in the photos, I combined two strands of this merino with one strand of a fine multicoloured companion yarn. The multicoloured yarn is sold separately, priced per 100 g. It is too fine to knit alone in this machine setup, but works beautifully alongside the merino.

    Yarn Care Instructions

    Hand or gentle machine wash at max 40°C / 104°F. Use mild detergent. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry. Additional care varies by fiber type.
