Our Story
A family journey rooted in Lithuanian tradition
Where It All Began
My story with yarn began in childhood, during the Soviet era, when choices were limited and creativity was essential. With little access to clothing or materials, imagination became my greatest resource. Nature, quiet moments, and simple yarns were where my first handmade ideas were born.
A Dream Comes True
A childhood dream of having my own sewing studio lived in me for years. In 2008, that dream finally became reality. What started as a personal passion slowly turned into meaningful work, built stitch by stitch, with patience and care.
Bengi Design
In 2015, creativity expanded into a shared project — Bengi Design. At the same time, our linen clothing store opened on Etsy, allowing us to share natural fabrics and thoughtful design with customers around the world. It was a step into slow fashion and intentional creation.
Returning to Yarn
During colder seasons, when linen was less in demand, yarn naturally found its way back into my life. In 2017, I opened my first yarn shop on Etsy as a complementary activity. What began as a seasonal idea quickly grew into something much bigger.
Yarn Home
That return to yarn became Yarn Home. What began as a small addition grew into a space for creativity, connection, and sharing knowledge. Yarn is no longer just a material — it is a way to support others in making something meaningful.
Still family-run. Still rooted in Lithuania. Made with care.
