    This limited-edition Lithuanian alpaca yarn is completely undyed and free from chemical softeners, preserving its natural strength and insulating power. Slightly rustic to the touch and delightfully weighty, it lends character to every stitch while offering exceptional warmth.

    Alpaca fiber is known to insulate far better than sheep’s wool — many sources claim it can be up to 3 times warmer than wool. 
    Regardless of the exact factor, alpaca’s hollow fiber structure traps air and retains heat, making it ideal for cold-weather knitting. 

    Wearables made from this yarn — vests, socks, slippers, mitts — will keep you warmer than traditional wool garments. For extremely sensitive skin, consider our ultra-soft Italian alpaca yarns — but if you embrace natural texture with strength and warmth, this is the yarn for you.
